DC Alliance at Putt4Dough 2021

Montana Hopkins (Event Coordinator) at one of DC Alliance’s sponsored hole in-one competition

The ICT community once again teed off to raise funds for the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation, on the 23rd of November. The team at DC Alliance attended the 12th annual Perth ICT Charity Golf Day, Putt4Dough at the picturesque Joondalup Resort. As part of DCA’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, DCAres, DC Alliance sponsored both hole-in-one competitions. This year saw a new organiser of Perth’s ICT Charity Golf Day, being the Western Australian Information Technology and Telecommunications Alliance (WAITTA).

The day ended with a formal dinner shared by the sponsors and players of the day where AFL legend Karl Langdon hosted a panel discussion with Will Schofield and Allana Slater. Will Schofield, West Coast Eagles premiership player, media personality and mental health ambassador shared his stories and personal experiences of excelling in elite sport and the impact this has on players’ mental and physical health. Similarly, Allana Slater, captain of Australia’s bronze medal winning World Championship team and eight-time Commonwealth Games medallist, shared her journey of becoming one of Australia’s most internationally successful gymnasts.

This year Putt4Dough raised an extraordinary $70,000 for the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation. All funds raised at this year’s charity event will go towards the Early Moves study to help diagnose babies at risk of development delays like Cerebral Palsy earlier than ever before. At DC Alliance we are extremely proud to have joined the ICT community in sponsoring the event for the past three years. A special thanks to Ben Chan (Vistone), Stan Peovitis (HPE), Darryl Patch (TPG) and Gavin Parker for joining forces to represent DCA as part of our EDGE team, finishing the day with a very respectable 9 under the card. We look forward to attending the event next year and continuing our DCAres CSR initiative.
